National News: In Rajasthan’s Khairthal-Tijara district, a gruesome murder case has surfaced. The body of a man was discovered on Sunday in Kishangarh Bas, hidden inside a blue plastic drum placed on a rooftop. Panic gripped the area after the discovery. Within 24 hours, the police arrested the victim’s wife and her alleged lover in connection with the crime.

How the case was exposed

According to locals, a foul smell had been spreading from the house since Sunday morning. At first, neighbors ignored it, but when the stench became unbearable, they informed the police. The police arrived at the scene and inspected a blue drum kept on the roof. Inside the drum, they found the body of a man covered with layers of salt. The condition of the body suggested that he had been killed several hours earlier and an attempt was made to speed up decomposition.

Who was the victim?

Police later identified the deceased as Hansram, a daily wage laborer originally from Shahjahanpur in Uttar Pradesh. In Kishangarh Bas, he stayed with his wife, Sunita, and three children in rented accommodation.

Suspicion on wife and her lover

Following the recovery of the body, Sunita, the wife of Hansram, and Jitendra, the landlord’s son, were untraceable. Investigations revealed that Sunita and Jitendra were in a relationship and had escaped along with her children. On Monday, the police tracked them down and arrested both for questioning.

Alcohol addiction and family disputes

Neighbors told police that Hansram was addicted to alcohol and often drank with Jitendra. This habit led to frequent arguments between him and his wife. Police believe that continuous disputes at home and the illicit relationship between Sunita and Jitendra could have led to the murder.

Murder with a sharp weapon

Early investigation revealed that Hansram was struck with a sharp object, and the deep injuries killed him immediately. After killing him, the accused allegedly placed his body inside the drum and poured salt over it to hide the smell and accelerate decomposition.

Fear in the locality

The incident has created shock and fear among residents. Locals said they never imagined such a brutal crime could take place in their neighborhood, especially involving a woman and her lover against her own husband.

Police investigation ahead

Sunita and Jitendra are now in police custody. They are being questioned to uncover the full motive and details of the conspiracy. Police officials said that the investigation is being carried out from every possible angle, while a forensic team has already collected evidence from the crime scene.
